Sustainability is no more a buzzword. The highly anticipated Gemfields presents ELLE Sustainability Awards 2023 in association with Signature Packaged Drinking Water took place on the 26th of April with esteemed A-listers and industry change-makers in fashion, beauty and lifestyle in attendance. Held at St. Regis, the award show was a glamorous confluence of all things sustainable melded with ELLE’s yearning to further this agenda for a better tomorrow.

The Pledge Wall
Decked with almost 60 sustainable pledges, the ELLE wall by Signature Experiences was a big success with attendees setting the place abuzz when they read their respective ones. Crafted in sustainable paper, the design was mindful and conscious, keeping in mind the ethos of the event.
The Panel
Prior to the event, ELLE hosted a panel discussion on how to encourage sustainable choices in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Industry leaders were seen taking charge of the conversation and setting the tone for the rest of the evening. Moderated by Vasudha Rai, the conducive discussion involved inputs from Nachiket Barve, Shubhika Jain, Sumaira Abdulali, Nidhi Yasha, Shruti Sancheti and Bandana Tewari.
Star Power
Lights, camera, action. The award ceremony saw the likes of Bhumi Pednekar (ELLE Sustainability Champion of the Year), Dia Mirza (ELLE Leaders of Change), Raveena Tandon (ELLE Sustainability Hero of the Year), Kalki Koechlin ELLE Sustainable Mould Breaker), Rakul Preet Singh (ELLE Social Responsibility) and Pragya Kapoor (ELLE Sustainable Leader of the Year) on the stage receiving the awards for their contributions to the field of sustainability.
Fashion stalwarts Anita Dongre and Rajesh Pratap Singh took home the ELLE Sustainability Leadership award along with Relove CEO Kirti Poonia winning the ELLE Conscious Fashion Award. Sudheer Rajbhar of Chamar Studio fame was lauded with the ELLE Circular Economy Award while Shruti Singh – Country head for Fashion Revolution India was felicitated with the ELLE Eco-Innovation (Fashion) award and many more.
