Recreating Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Wardrobe: These 5 Fans Did It & You Can Too

Being a swiftie is no easy feat. It’s a full-time job. As a self-proclaimed Swiftie, when I’m not busy dreaming about going to the Eras Tour, making friendship bracelets, or hunting for Easter eggs, I’m usually admiring the custom designer outfits Taylor Swift wears on stage. While I spend a lifetime gaping at the intricately designed 16 outfits Taylor Swift wears during her 3-and-a-half-hour performance, fans and attendees are busy creating their own versions of these outfits. The Eras Tour has created a moment for girlhood.

Fans are creating their outfits, exchanging friendship bracelets, and even flying across the world to see their favourite pop star perform. So, here are some of the custom-made designs worn by Taylor and their (Fan’s Version) as Mother taught us to do:

1. Alberta Ferretti: Green Chiffon Gown

During the Florida leg of the tour, Taylor Swift donned a stunning green chiffon gown designed by Alberta Ferretti. With its deep neckline, flowing sleeves, and embroidered leaf detailing, this ensemble exuded elegance and romance, capturing the essence of Taylor’s folklore era.

This fan created a mini version of the folklore dress and paired it with cowboy boots in true Taylor Swift fashion.

This fan created a darker version of the same dress and quoted a bonus track from the folklore era as she posed for her very own audience.

2. Versace: Silver Blazer

This custom-made Versace silver blazer donned by Taylor Swift while she sings “The Man” makes her look like the boss lady we always knew she was. Taylor paired it with her Christian Louboutin silver knee-high heeled boots.

This fan went the extra mile and recreated the entire Lover era with her pink Lover bodysuit and silver blazer. She even DIYed her version of the silver knee-high Christian Louboutin boots.

3. Oscar de la Renta: Midnight-Blue Leotard

Closing the show in style, Taylor donned a stunning midnight-blue leotard by Oscar de la Renta, featuring beaded fringing and thousands of crystals. Paired with matching glittery boots, this dazzling ensemble captured the essence of Taylor’s most recent album, Midnights. As far as Taylor Swift concerts go, they’re always a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but if you’re one of the lucky few who caught a rain show during the Midnights era, then you’ve won at life.

This fan documented her entire DIY process on Instagram in an 8-part series. And get this… She even created the infamous garter that broke on stage. Along with the Midnights leotard, she even made the green folklore dress. When I said being a swiftie is a full-time job, I was not kidding.

4. Zuhair Murad: Embellished Bodysuit

Central to Taylor’s ‘Eras’ wardrobe are embellished bodysuits, including a purple beaded look by Zuhair Murad. Adorned with over 20,000 glittering crystals and pearls, this show-stopping ensemble took over 350 hours to create, adding a touch of sparkle to Taylor’s performance.

The opening outfit of the 3.5-hour concert is by far the most sought-after, so much so that Taylor Swift even put it on her Eras Tour concert film poster. This fan joked about spending 2190 days (iykyk) creating her version of the Lover bodysuit.

5. Roberto Cavalli: Red & Black Asymmetrical Bodysuit

The Reputation era was by far one of the most iconic comebacks we have ever seen. Taylor chose to bring the era back with this fierce asymmetrical red & black custom Roberto Cavalli bodysuit that not only reminds us of the album’s association with snakes but also reiterates that the old Taylor is in fact dead.

The Rep era is an all-time favourite, but its Eras Tour outfits are by far the most difficult to replicate. This fan took up the challenge and might I say she delivered it like a true icon. Now all she has to do is give us her rendition of “Look What You Made Me Do,” and we’ll be on our way.

If you’re a fan ready to attend a Taylor Swift concert on her upcoming Europe and UK leg, then this is your sign to DIY your outfit. Give yourself back your girlhood, make the friendship bracelets, and have the best time ever!
