Celebrity wedding style is always something to marvel over.

When you’ve money to burn, friends with serious fashion credentials and access to some of the very best names in the business, the world of wedding dresses is really your oyster.

From Naeem Khan to Vera Wang and a sprinkling of Giles Deacon here and there, here are the very gorgeous and sometimes extravagant celebrity brides.

1. Lena Dunham and Luis Felber

Lena Dunham married her musician boyfriend Luis Felber on September 25 in London’s Soho, and managed to keep the news relatively quiet from fans… until now.

On September 29 Dunham confirmed rumours she was a wife, sharing a photograph of herself and her new husband on Instagram along with their wedding date and the caption: ‘That’s how she became the nanny… [sic]’

For her big day the bride called on the help of fashion designer Christopher Kane, who created a 1960s/ Holy Communion-inspired ceremony dress which featured lace bishop sleeves and a cupcake skirt. The actor styled the look with white tights, white shoes and a floor-length veil adorned with a bow. Dunham’s grandmother’s watch was sewn into the inside of the skirt to represent her ‘something blue’, and she accessorised with a pair of Art Deco earrings belonging to her mother and a pendant crafted out of her grandmother’s earrings.

Her second dress, courtesy of Kane, was modeled after his SS18 collection. The look was a floor-length gown with embroidery and goblet sleeves, styled with a Dolecka Bridal tiara. Her third and final dress was an A-line number with a painting printed of the married couple, by Kane. ‘I wrote on it Lena and Lu and the date of their wedding,’ Kane told Vogue. ‘It was a wedding gift from me to them.’

The wedding, which took place at The Union Club was attended by bridesmaid Taylor Swift and actor Tommy Dorfman. Kane also designed their bridesmaids dresses which appear to have been made from a silver lamé type fabric. More photos from the wedding can be seen here.

The dress looked almost identical to the gown worn by the late Grace Kelly for her marriage to Prince Rainier III of Monaco, but even grander.

‘Thank you for making my classic, timeless & beautiful wedding dress come true. It is a piece of art!! Any of you figure out who my inspiration was? I want to display it like this forever in my house!’ Tookes thanked Murad in her wedding post caption.
