To say that it was a tough competition would have to be an understatement. The entries were outstanding and each one brought their A-game. The very talented participants were judged across 5 categories. While the title of Designer of the Year- Ready to Wear Western was bagged by the fluid silhouettes of Aroka, Aseem Kapoor took away Designer of the Year- Ready to Wear Indian with beautifully draped, bright colours. The next category that we had was Designer of the Year – Fashion Accessories and Jewellery which was won by the art inspired, unconventional pieces of Baka. Moving on to our next category, Designer of the Year – Men’s Wear which was bagged by Line Outline for its interesting choice of fabrics and intricately constructed pieces. Last but not least, Designer of the Year- Sustainable Wear was won by Graine for its modern silhouettes that were backed by signature craftsmanship.

Besides fashion, ELLE Graduates is also using its platform to recognize talented individuals doing exceptional work across different fields. The title for Be More ELLE personality of the Year was won by Mirabai Chanu for her outstanding contribution to Indian sports. The title for Young Social Changemaker of the Year was given to Garvita Gulhati for founding ‘Why Waste’, a youth-led initiative that has impacted millions. Next, we have Best Debutant of the Year Male and Female which was won by the extremely talented  Adarsh Gourav and Prajakta Koli respectively. Our last category was ELLE Social Media Influencer of the Year which was bagged by the very gorgeous Diipa Büller-Khosla.

Last but not the least, we’re very excited for you to watch remarkable collections, a powerhouse of talent and stunning visuals in our very own fashion film. “We had to adapt to the times this year, without losing the speciality of a typical fashion show. The fashion film is a culmination of ideas coming to life through the tireless work of our editorial team at ELLE India” says our fashion editor, Zoha Castelino. The bar has definitely been raised higher and we cannot wait for you to see it for yourself.
