The ELLE Beauty Awards were a star-studded affair with engaging conversations, industry insiders and a whole lot of beauty defining the night. The stars took home awards honouring their commitment to their craft and the beauty and wellness industry cumulatively. News to no one, the best designers shone brightly at the night – from embellished floor length gowns to sculptural menswear making an appearance, here’s what our winners wore at the starry event.
ELLE Beauty & More – Jahnvi Kapoor
Alexa, play Mirrorball by Taylor Swift. Featuring a high slit, Janhvi’s one shouldered bedazzled gown was the highlight of the night. Easily our favourite on the list.
ELLE Icon Man – Vijay Varma
Nothing like a top to toe Gucci moment. Dapper and suave, the Jaane Jaan alumni was lensed in an oversized fit by the Italian maison and served up some major fashion inspiration for the boys!
ELLE Gamechanger – Bhumi Pednekar
Wearing Italian-Sri Lankan couturier Andrea Brocca, Bhumi Pednekar’s sculptural black number was a corsetry marvel. With long locks and minimal accessorising, the sartorial feast is on the top when talking about our list of faves!
ELLE Style Icon – Ananya Panday
Star of the night: a voluminous number by Gauri & Nainika adorned by fine jewels from Renu Oberoi and Tara Fine Jewellery. The ruched bodice and dropped silhouette sure made a solid case for regency core.
ELLE Rising Star – Shanaya Kapoor
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia Badani, Shanaya’s melange grey top paired with the silver sequinned skirt by Michael Kors was a sight to behold. The real winner though: the Bulgari jewels.
ELLE Beyond Beauty – Mira Kapoor
Shantnu Nikhil’s black cocktail was Mira Kapoor’s sartorial weapon of choice. Spotlight on the cinching at the waist and the embellished bustier – clear standouts at the big night.
ELLE Trendsetter – Vaani Kapoor
Black and powder pink – an underrated colour duo. Vaani Kapoor nailed it with her black bustier and the pink skirt that featured a cheeky slit.
ELLE Mould Breaker – Rakul Preet Singh
Ballroom reminiscing and how! Yaariyan star Rakul Preet Singh’s coquette gown was a subtle nod to today’s revivalist sensibilities and is bound to be an instant hit amongst the fashion girlies of today.
ELLE Woman Of Substance – Divya Khosla Kumar
Jessica Rabbit would be proud. With blazing red gloves complementing her gown, the monotone piece was Divya Khosla Kumar’s choice for the night.
