Two young designers – Kriti Tula and Shivangi Sahni – have managed to meet their target and raise Rs 1,00,000 each via Ketto.org, a crowdfunding platform. Tula is a graduate of Pearl Academy of Fashion, with a masters in Design Management from the London College of Fashion. Incidentally, she’s also been mentored by Nitin Bal Chauhan. Her label, Doodlage, focuses majorly on upcycling and re-using waste fabric. And Shivangi Sahni, a graduate of NIFT Delhi, employs clean lines, crisp tailoring and textured fabrics. Both designers will be part of the Gen Next showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015, on August 25.
