After a meticulous hunt for two months, the search for the next big thing in Indian fashion culminated tonight. Seven up-and-coming designers, with seven stellar collections between them, took to the ELLE Graduates runway.
Antar-Agni, Doodlage, Misho Designs, P.E.L.L.A., Kaleekal, VineetRahul and Silvense regaled the judges panel: celebrity judge Vaani Kapoor, assisted by ELLE Editor Aishwarya Subramanyam, Tina Tahiliani Parekh, Anita Dongre, Amit Aggarwal, Sunil Sethi, Raj Anand (of Who’s Next) and Jeannine De Chaud (President – Buying & Sourcing of Max Fashion).
And the sparkle continued on to the front row where celebrity showstoppers Richa Chhadha and Rahul Khanna were applauded on by Harshvardhan Kapoor and other members of the fraternity.
The night drew to an end all too soon with Antar-Agni bagging top honours and the chance to showcase at international trade show Who’s Next in Paris. We even got the reticent Ujjwal Dubey to say a few (really few) words to us:
