10 beauty tips we’re stealing from 3 international supermodels

There’s a good chance that last night your Instagram grid was chocked-full of shots from the Autumn Winter ’18 David Jones Fashion Launch. The biannual event is one of the biggest for the Australian fashion industry, bringing together the country’s top designers, models and editors to celebrate a new season of international and local looks.

These season things were a little different, as a new trio of models debuted as the brand’s ambassadors. Victoria Lee, the 27-year-old Sydney-born model who made her debut on the Victoria’s Secret runway last November, joined DJs veteran Jessica Gomes and megamodel Jordan Barrett (you may know him better as @iblamejordan) as the brand’s new guard.

Seeing as all three models spend their time jetting all over the world to shoot for some of the world’s biggest mastheads and brands, we were somewhat curious to learn what their beauty secrets. Here, everything we learned about skincare, hair and make-up from Jordan, Victoria and Jess.

“I love to see Melanie Grant for a facial. She is incredible and it’s such a wonderful indulgence. It really instils confidence for me to have clear skin. If my skin is nice I feel good. I feel like ‘I can rock this’.” – Victoria Lee

“I’m always keeping my skin clean, I always take all my makeup off as soon as I get into the house. And then of course I’m drinking lots of water. Diet is always the same for me, protein, lots of vegetables. I eat well all through the year”. – Jessica Gomes

“I get highlights done at Suite Caroline in New York City, I sit there and don’t use any heat so I’m there for like five hours! But I feel like my hair copes better with the styling after, if I have highlights put in that way. Then I see Renya Xydis and Koda Cutters for treatments while I’m in Sydney.” – Victoria Lee

“I always wear sunscreen. Dr. Barabara Sturm makes a sunscreen that I think is the best. It’s the only thing I always put on my skin. I use Dr. Barbara Sturm Sun Drops SPF 50+.” – Jordan Barrett

“Before a show I like to get my nails done at Jocelyn Petroni — usually a nude shade. It’s a bit of self-love that makes you feel good, you shouldn’t neglect that.” – Victoria Lee

“I’m very lucky that I have Melanie Grant. I have Omnilux facials with her which is great for keeping your skin glowy and the collagen levels in check.” – Jessica Gomes

“When travelling I like Aveda shampoo and conditioner. R +Co. have a wonderful nourishing leave-in conditioner and Aesop’s rose scalp treatment smells amazing — I’ll do that once or twice a week to maintain moisture.” – Victoria Lee

“I’m a big fan of coconut oil. I’m always putting coconut oil on my hair, coconut oil on my body — I’m not ever using any serious skincare but I’m always using coconut oil.” – Jordan Barrett

“I use products by my brand, Equal Beauty, every day. I cleanse, moisturise, hydrate with a serum and then use a hydration spray through the day. [The success of the brand] is something I’ve taken pride in for sure, I wanted to create something that represented who I am and quality is so important to me.” – Jessica Gomes

“Sometimes I won’t wash my hair for days because I actually like the natural look, a little bit lived in, not too clean. The grease in your hair can actually nourish it a little too. I’ll put a little dry shampoo in, usually an Aveda dry shampoo, and it will make it a little grittier, then it’s dry shampoo for the next five days!” – Victoria Lee
