The Nick Jonas – Priyanka Chopra engagement bash was all anybody in Bollywood could talk about this past weekend, with the couple finally ending months of speculation with an elaborate do at the bride-to-be’s home in Mumbai. While Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt repped the bride’s side, Nick’s parents — Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas — flew in with their youngest son to ensure everything went smoothly on his big day.
And as you can expect from any major Bollywood production, the sentimentality overflowed like beer at a frat party. Priyanka was the first to post a photo of the couple on her Instagram page, and Nick somehow managed to tear his arms away from his new fiancee long enough to comment on her photo, saying, “Wow, congrats. He’s the luckiest guy in the world.”
Not to be outdone, the Jonas family patriarch announced his unconditional support for his new daughter-in-law, with a comment saying, “Congratulations and welcome to our family.” Both Priyanka and Nick come from very close-knit families, with Nick having shot to fame in a band alongside his two brothers, while Chopra’s mother and brother are her two pillars of support ever since her father passed away a few years ago.
Now the only question on everyone’s mind is: Who will win the sangeet dance-off?
