Making his return to Lakme Fashion Week after four years, designer Varun Bahl will be showcasing Varun Bahl Prêt on the runways of LFW this season. Comprising easy, ready-to-wear separates and coordinates from the label, this collection has been designed for the modern Indian woman—age no bar. With unique prints and hand embellished fabrics, the pieces aim at becoming wardrobe staples for the aspiring woman that dresses according to her personality.

Known for delicate, floral-inspired embroideries in vintage pastels, this collection sticks to the designer’s signature aesthetics. Varun Bahl Prêt continues to celebrate flowers, however, it has been carried out in a less ornate way as haute couture. The five-petal flower sketched by Bahl himself is a staple across the prints—micro-floral gingham checks, damask and mosaic patterns, and sinuous, curvy lines. He even included his love for the Art Nouveau style through undulating, wave-like seams, hems, and appliqué additions, along with laser-cut 3D flowers.

With the use of fabrics such as double-georgette, moss-crepe, cotton-silk, handwoven Chanderi, Varun Bahl Prêt includes kurtas, lehengas, sarees, dresses, culottes, and has been designed keeping the Indian body type in mind—making it the perfect season staple for all.
