The last time we shot with Disha Patani, she had just completed the shoot of Ek Villain Returns. Fast-forward two years, and Patani’s star shines brighter than ever. With four diverse projects in the pipeline, coveted fashion collaborations, and an Instagram following exceeding 60 million, she epitomises the essence of showbiz’s leading figure.
Given her pull in the industry, it’s hard to believe that her debut is not even a decade old. While she made her mark in Telugu cinema with Loafer, it was her portrayal in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story that truly catapulted her to fame. “After MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was released, people started recognising me on the streets and asking me for pictures and autographs. There was one moment when someone shouted my character’s name from the film, and it really hit me: I was officially a public figure,” she shared in our previous interview.
A glimpse into the 31-year-old’s weekly agenda reveals a whirlwind of engagements. From attending the Ambanis’ pre-wedding festivities to jetting off to Italy for a shoot alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in an upcoming mythological sci-fi drama, her schedule is brimming with activity. Yet, amidst her bustling career, Patani’s downtime remains remarkably grounded. Whether spending time with her canine companion or reluctantly attending weekend soirées, she exudes relatability.
During our recent shoot in MiraSierra Khao Yai, Thailand, Patani’s commitment to fitness was palpable. “Fitness is like therapy to me; I feel most at peace when I am working out,” she revealed. For Patani, fitness transcends mere physical appearance. “For me, fitness is not just about looking a certain shape or size—it’s about having a healthy mind,” she emphasised in our previous interview.
As Patani concludes filming for some of 2024’s most anticipated films, she remains focused, passionate, and driven, qualities that undoubtedly cement her status as the ultimate main character in the ever-evolving landscape of showbiz.
