Khan’s style—understated yet impactful—is evident in her choice of outfits, each perfectly complemented by Zoya’s exquisite jewellery. “Jewellery often tells a personal story,” she shares, admiring a delicate necklace from Zoya’s collection.

“I’m drawn to pieces that evoke emotion. When a piece of jewellery captures a moment in your life or reflects a part of your soul, it becomes really special.” Her connection with Zoya’s creations was immediate, the jewellery resonating deeply with her journey.

On Gauri Khan: Colour Me Spring necklace, Blush of Dawn earrings, Trillion Dreams ring, Dawn ring and Wind’s Serenade bangle from Alive collection, all by Zoya. Structured corded coral top with ribbed organza drape, by Amit Aggarwal.

While admiring an ornate piece on display, she remembers a particularly cherished piece of jewellery, her mother’s wedding set, a family heirloom that symbolises love, heritage, and resilience. “It represents the strength that comes from being true to oneself—values that she embodies and I hold close.” This heirloom is more than just an accessory; it is a tangible link to her roots and the principles that guide her life. Throughout the shoot, Khan’s choices, whether in fashion or design, are a testament to her refined taste and deep connection to her story. “I don’t follow trends,” she explains while adjusting a pair of statement earrings. “As a designer, I appreciate beautiful craftsmanship that stands the test of time.”

On Gauri Khan: Unchained Elegance necklace, The Dress circle ring and bangles, earrings from Libera collection, Visions of Sunset rings from the Beyond collection, all by Zoya. Embroidered set, by Anamika Khanna.

Khan’s personal style is a rich tapestry woven from her diverse experiences and artistic influences. “Growing up, the rage or style was all about fitted dresses and stilettos,” she reminisces with a smile. “Now, style is first about comfort, but that doesn’t mean sacrificing elegance.” For her, elegance and comfort are not mutually exclusive; they coexist seamlessly in her wardrobe.

Khan’s design sensibilities, honed through her successful career in interior design, also influence her jewellery preferences. “Design starts with inspiration and unfolds through storytelling,” she muses. “Creating spaces is about understanding the essence of the people who will live there. I spend time getting to know their stories, their aspirations, and their personal style. This allows me to design spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also deeply personal—a true reflection of their identity,” she adds.

On Gauri Khan: Link to the Cosmos necklace, Refractions of the Infinite
earrings, Fragmented Wonder bangle, Looped in Time bangle, Vesica Piscis
bangles and Flower of Life ring from Aeterna collection, all by Zoya.

As the shoot draws to a close, Khan reflects on her journey and the legacy she wishes to create. “I hope to leave behind a legacy of authenticity and the belief that true beauty comes from being comfortable and happy in your own skin. Through my design work, my style, or the values I’ve instilled in my children, I want the next generation to embrace their individuality, cherish their journey, and approach life with a sense of purpose and passion.”

Her story—much like the jewellery she cherishes—is one of timeless beauty, rich with inspiration and emotion.
