How to single out just one detail to be most excited about? First of all, the book—a best-seller written by French author Romain Puertolas and with the irresistible title of The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Wardrobe. Then there’s the movie—an adaptation to be written and directed by comic-book author and filmmaker Marjane Satrapi. Then there’s the actor—the National Award-winning, kolaveri-struck Dhanush is in talks to play the lead role. And not least of all, there’s the story—an Indian con-man/guru is on a pilgrimage to Europe to buy a bed of nails from IKEA with a 100 Euro note that’s only printed on one side. This movie is a win even before it’s begun.
They’re still casting actors so there’s going to be a bit of a wait before we can clap our eyes on the train wreck of awesomeness that this film promises to be. Not to oversell it or anything.
