As the Cannes Film festival is set to draw its curtains for this year’s edition, it’s highly imperative that we talk about our desi contingent at the Riviera. Celebrities like Aditi Rao Hydari, Deepika Padukone, Hina Khan, Pooja Hegde and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dominated a plentitude of headlines. The jury was out on every look, some heaped on the praises, others delivered scathing commentary (often for the clicks) but totally uncalled for, either way. But what caught our eye, especially on the sartorial ground, is Aditi Rao Hydari. And her pristine styling all thanks to Sanam Ratansi’s groundwork. From saris to gowns and coord-sets, the mélange of looks was equal parts enticing and classic.
