The rom-com genre has evolved over the years, and thankfully the content today does not restrict only to the cliche idea of girl-meets-boy-twist-of-fate love (which we still enjoy). By opening up to the concept of what love can be, the moviemakers have opened up the segment for everyone, irrespective of their relationship status. This season, we’ve got the much anticipated last edition of To All The Boys trilogyalong with the twisted love tale Chemical Hearts, starring our very own Betty Cooper of Riverdale.

In the third and final instalment of Gen-Z’s favourite love story, To All The Boys, the end status of the will-they-won’t-they couple will be established. Chemical Hearts 

The movie stars Riverdale famed Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams, who plays a hopeless romantic high school senior, who falls for his mysterious new classmate played by Hart. Little does he know that she comes with a past of unresolved grief. It’s a melancholic tale of love that focuses on the subject of what happens after you lose a loved one.

Namaste Wahala

This movie is a Nollywood/Bollywood interracial romantic tale starring Ruslan Mumtaz and Ini Dima-Okojie in the lead roles. The film touches the subject of stereotypical societal taboos with a hint of humour and romance. It follows this couple’s journey, trying to win the approval of their traditional parents with their hilarious antics.
