Christian Louboutin. You hear the name and it’s almost impossible to not think of bright red soles lining a pair of ultra-glam shoes. The French luxury designer has outdone himself when it comes to nailing brand recognition and recall. Speaking of the icon, here’s something that’s opened up to pay homage to his creations.
Palais de la Porte Dorée, a museum in Paris, has created the largest-ever exhibition devoted to Christian Louboutin. Curated by Olivier Gabet, Director of the Musée Des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the exhibition offers an immersive experience into the designer’s imagination. Showcasing the designer’s vision through a series of 11 chapters, the ethereal set-up gives an insight into his inspirations. It also showcases some of his significant artworks from his personal collection. And with a large selection of shoes and sketches on display, this exhibition is a paradise for every fashion enthusiast.
Thanks to Covid-19, we cannot witness the installations in all its glory. So, here’s what you can do: relax with a cool drink and take a virtual tour of the exhibition.
