Tissot exports 4 million watches every year. That’s no mean feat, and the reason behind the Swiss watch company’s success is that people can rely on it for quality and reliability. In February, the company showcased its new product line-up for 2020 in Chandigarh, during a three-day summit. The event was attended by horology experts and cognoscenti from across India at The Oberois Sukhvilas Spa Resort in New Chandigarh. The event was a testament to the art of timekeeping and how it has evolved over time.
Tissot’s T-Wave watch
To celebrate the week of love, the luxury watch brand displayed its Valentine special T-Wave watch which took centre stage in a floral setting. The ambience, full of flowers and pink banners from the brand, reflected V-Day’s mood. Many of the watches on display stood out. The Tissot Chrono XL, for instance, is perfect for those looking for a sporty and trendy timepiece. The Tissot Gentleman Automatic is meant for the modern man, who isn’t afraid to look fashionable.
New Tissot Seastar
Just like the backdrop of The Oberoi Sukhvilas, some watches took us right back to the time when the brand started in 1853. So the Tissot heritage collection showcased the rich history of the Swiss watch company. One of the watches from this collection, which featured art-deco style lettering, was a testament to the Tissot collection that was conceptualised in the beginning of the 20th century. Another watch that caught everyone’s attention was the Tissot Le Locle Automatique, first introduced for the brand’s 150th anniversary.

Tissot Luxury Gent Automatic, a luxurious yet affordable watch, made for a thrilling buy with a power reserve called Powermatic 80, which lasts up to 80 hours. Few of the other bestsellers on display were the PR 100, Seastar 1000 Professional and Seastar 1000 Quartz Chronograph. All of them undoubtedly stand for timeless and classic design. And, all three of them are high-performing and water resistant. We know what we want for our next shopping splurge now.
