If a gilt-edged invite for a girls-only slumber party at Priyanka Chopra’s place comes in the mail, please know that you are in safe hands.
The former Miss World winner has got a couple of tricks up her sleeve that’ll serve even the most ‘kitchen-challenged’ of individuals, in her own words. Ex-Miss India International ’98 Shvetha Jaishankar recently released her debut book, Gorgeous: Eat Well, Look Great (Harper Collins) where she got Priyanka to open up about her famous refrigerator scrambled eggs.
If all the late night stalking and scrolling has left you with a serious case of the munchies, open your refrigerator and pull out eggs, cheese, a dash of milk and every type of meat you can find. Whisk the eggs, add the milk, some pepper, grated fresh garlic and finely sliced green chillies.
Heat some oil in the pan, add the eggs, and keep stirring. When it starts to thicken, add the chopped meats, cheese and continue to stir. Sprinkle a dash of salt at the end and voilà, breakfast or midnight snack is ready.
Priyanka’s list of creations doesn’t end there though. The Quantico actor is equally proud of the ‘PC’s on the job workout’ routine that she created for herself. “I work eighteen-hour days with little to no time off. I’m never sedentary in those hours—running between set and my make-up trailer, going from one event to the next… It kind of makes up for the lack of exercising that I do! My life is my gym and my playground,” she says with a smile.
She is aware, though, of the challenges of ageing on her jet-setting lifestyle. “Most of my friends keep joking with me that my legendary metabolism will give up on me and karma will find its way to my hips,” she says. “I am active and take care of my face, skin, body and brain… the rest is up to God and the laws of gravity!”
