The perfect updo tutorial

This three-step hairdo is the best way to keep hair off your face and look put together when you have just two minutes before a Zoom call. Bonus points for the unassuming hair accessory that holds the ’do in place. Pro tip: If you’re using a pen, keep the clipped side up to avoid hair breakage

Try a DIY relaxing salt scrub

Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s body scrub is a definite self-care winner. The scent of mint is refreshing and is an instant mood booster, epsom salts do a great job at exfoliating, lemon zest will tighten pores and almond oil will keep your skin soft and supple. She recommends using it not only as a body scrub but also as a relaxing foot soak to drain away negativity.

Align your chakras

According to ancient meditation practices, your body has seven energy points known as chakras. From self-awareness to positivity, it’s believed that the alignment and synchronisation of these energy vortexes plays a huge part in your thoughts and actions. Shilpa has created a meditation practice on her app and recommends practising it at least thrice a week.

Calm your mind

Janu Sirsasana is a yoga pose where you bend your body forward and touch your head to your knee. This looks easy but you better get ready to really feel the stretch in your spine and hamstrings. Shilpa swears by this asana because it can be done by anyone and at any point in the day. Not only does it help to calm anxiety and relieve stress, but it also aids digestion.

Make healthy desserts

Like us, Shilpa has taken up baking in the last three months. This 11-ingredient peanut butter choco-oat cookies recipe ticks all the boxes for me–no refined sugar, vegan and gluten-free.
