If like me, you’ve watched Finding Nemo on repeat, you know that the world underwater is absolutely stunning. Now we can’t possibly grow gills but scuba diving comes the closest to experiencing that. And these leading Bollywood actors are also scuba diving enthusiasts. We always see actors doing adventures on screen, but do you know some of these actors are adventurous offscreen too? Here are 5 celebrities who are certified scuba divers:
1. Sonakshi Sinha

In late 2020, Sonakshi visited the Maldives, and she with a certificate in scuba diving. She took it to Instagram to share her new achievement, captioning it ‘Knighted by the holy fins!!!’. She even shared a picture of her exam sheet in which she scored a full 100. Sonakshi Sinha added that she had never scored a 100 in any exam.
2. Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor is quite the adventurer both on and off screen as well, but did you know she is a water baby? She was even approached by a scuba diving association to be the face of their campaign in 2014. Shraddha also helped Tiger Shroff during water scene in Baaghi. Shraddha Kapoor mentioned once in an interview that she wants to dive in the Pacific and Atlantic to see World War wrecks.
3. Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra became a certified scuba diver in 2017 and since then she has been in love with being underwaters. Some time last year, she took a 7-day scuba diving trip in the Indian ocean with her brother Shivang Chopra. Parineeti is always on the go, she loves travelling and trying out new things. She recently posted a video of her underwaters and captioned it ‘The place where I belong 🌊’.
4. Shriya Saran

Shriya Saran has always loved doing water sports. She mentioned in an interview that she flew to Port Blair to do a one-week scuba diving course and got certified. Like Parineeti even Shriya visits the oceans frequently to get that needed dose of peace and calmness.

You know her as the bold, awesome Sushmita Sen, but did you know that she is certified as a scuba diver? She got certified in 2014 . Recently in 2019, Sen took her daughter Alisah diving for her 10th birthday. She also posted about it on Instagram saying how proud she was of her 10-year old and even gave a backstory as to why she took her to take a deep dive in the ocean.
