Cherry Red And These 4 Hair Colours Are Going To Be Everywhere In 2024

While the adage, ‘New year, new me” may have become cliched now, nothing says new year like a hair makeover. I may not be a big believer in New Year’s resolutions, but I am a big believer in transformations, right around the new year. In 2023, we saw a fair share of hair colour trends which took the internet by storm. Now, after spending hours on the Internet looking at fresh colour trends and experts’ opinion, here’s the list of hair colours that will make it big in 2024. Here’s hoping that you’re convinced to book your appointments and bookmark these images!

Colour Me Blonde

When Rihanna breaks the internet with a new hair colour, you know it’s going to be the IT colour of the season. A low-maintenance alternative to buttercream blonde that had its moment in 2024, honey blonde is a warmer hue with golden and brown tones. All thanks to darker hues of brown being present here, honey blonde is that variant of blonde which can be sported by most of us. It can be sported in more ways than one—babylights? Yes. Balayage? Yes. Bronde? Yes. An intense blonde? Also yes.

Rich Chocolate

A classic colour that will never go out of style, rich chocolate is the brunette’s answer to quiet luxury hair. A deeper brown which has dimension added to it by tones of slightly lighter browns, this colour is as low maintenance as it gets. It is perfect for people who want a slight change but don’t want to go all out when it comes to hair colour. Instead of opting for a one-toned colour, you can choose to go for babylights or highlights that add depth and dimension to your colour.

Heavy Balayages

2024 is going to see a rise in heavy balayages, you heard it here first. The most versatile colour technique in the books, a balayage ensures there’s a little something for everyone. As opposed to conventional highlights, a balayage allows you to pinpoint particular spots where you’d like the colour to show up, leaving room for you to experiment. Heavy balayages in hues of golden, brown and even red will be everywhere in 2024. A well-done balayage helps you frame your face along with enhancing other features such as your eyes and cheekbones.

Always Red-dy For It

Even though Megan Fox and Dua Lipa gave red hair a go, I can proudly report that I hopped on the red hair bandwagon before they did. If there’s one hair colour that has found a permanent place in the spotlight, it’s red. If you’re feeling bold like our girl Dua, go all out and choose global hair colour. However, if you find this hue a little overpowering, opt for a soft ombre or a few babylights. Cherry cola was the year’s colour in 2023, so certainly red is here to stay.

Ginger Tones

While last summer saw apricot tones being embraced by everyone, 2024 will see its fiery counterpart—ginger take over. A delightful blend between brown and golden, ginger is for the ones who have been looking for a makeover that isn’t too drastic. Getting the tone of ginger right can be a little tricky with Indian skin tones so sticking to darker hues of golden and brown is your best bet.
