1. Selling Sunset Season 5
The fierce real estate agents of The Oppenheim Group are back to sell million-dollar houses in LA, and bring more drama of course! The fifth season will pick up from the tense ending of season four. Following a tiff between Christine Quinn and Emma Hernan over a mutual ex (with the former asserting that her ex cheated on her with Emma), the fight ended with everyone else from the agency cancelling Christine. How the conflict will work out thereafter is something we’ll know only when the new season begins. Now, all this drama from the last season only began with two new entrants–Emma, and Vanessa Villela. And the upcoming season will also have a newbie aka British Nigerian luxury realtor Chelsea Lazkani. Will she come with drama? We’ll soon find out. But let’s not forget the most anticipated bit this season–the relationship between Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim. Although the couple is no longer together, season 5 will document their story and we’re all keen to know the turn of events!

2. Roar
The star cast of Roar is enough to grab your attention–it features female powerhouses Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart and Kara Hayward. But for us, it’s also an intriguing plot. Based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, Roar is an anthology series of darkly comic feminist fables. Each episode tells the tale of a woman in a rather unusual and weird circumstance–from a woman eating photographs to a woman dating a duck to a woman living on a shelf like a trophy. But the struggles of each are universal.

IPS officer Jyoti Deswal (Yami Guatam) gives Chaudhary a tough time in the jail. When she insults him by telling him that he hasn’t even passed his tenth grade, he takes it as a challenge and decides to complete his tenth grade exams, and studies for it in jail.

4. Sharmaji Namkeen
A heartwarming watch for retired parents and those who think it’s too late to start something new, Sharmaji Namkeen follows the life BG Sharma post-retirement. Having worked in the same company his whole life, he isn’t ready to retire and do nothing. He finally comes up with the idea to pursue his hobby of cooking and begins serving delicious meals at kitty parties. However, he is faced with constant disapproval from his son and society. Rishi Kapoor’s last film is simple and touching–we loved his character’s cute antics whether it was eagerly waiting for his sons to leave for work or him dancing in the kitchen to Babydoll Main Sone Di. But what it also shares is a beautiful lesson on how you can start a passion project irrespective of your age.

5. Elite Season 5
The Spanish teen drama is back this month and yes, of course, there’s another murder. After all, that is the main theme of the show–a bunch of kids from Las Encinas, navigating their lives but also getting caught up with the messy turns of events that eventually lead to someone’s death each season. The season four ending reveals how Armando was the person behind Carla’s assault but later becomes the guy who gets shot by Guzman in an act of self-defense. Samuel and Rebe help Guzman cover up his death and drop his body in a lake followed by Guzman and Ander’s exit at the end of the episode. This leaves only Samuel as the OG cast member who has been in the series since the first season. Now, in the upcoming season, we’re expecting the show to touch upon the unsolved mystery of Armando’s death. And while two prime characters have left, their positions are filled by two entrants–Argentinian actress Valentina Zenere as Sofía and Brazilian actor André Lamoglia as Gonzalo, and they will no doubt add to the drama. Love triangles and conflicts thrive in Las Encinas, besides crime!

6. Kaun Pravin Tambe?
Recently, filmmakers are taking a keen interest in making cricket-based features. After Kabir Khan’s 83 and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming Jersey making their way to the big screen, Kaun Pravin Tambe? revolves around the life of the Mumbai-based cricketer of the same name–a completely unknown personality in Indian cricket who only shot to fame after being picked by IPL team Rajasthan Royals as a 41-year-old. While this is an age many sportsmen tend to retire, this cricketer (played by Shreyas Talpade) does the exact opposite. The sports drama traces his journey as a cricketer who never got the chance to make his name but used the one opportunity to shut down all his disbelievers with his brilliant on-field performance.

8. Masterchef Australia: Fans & Favourites
Jock, Andy and Melissa are back in a new season of Masterchef Australia. They made their debut as judges on a season that brought back the past season faves, then did another one with a fresh bunch of amateur cooks. Now, they’re set to judge both–some old contestants from the seasons gone by and some new. It’s the fans versus the favourites! Ex-participants like Tommy Lee, Sarah Todd, Sashi Cheliah (season 10 winner), among others are a part of the show this year. I’s going to be fun watching all those mystery box challenges and pressure tests al over again. And being complete Masterchef Australia fans, we cannot wait to see who emerges the winner this time!

9. A Very British Scandal
Technically, this is the second instalment of the show but with a slight change in title. Previously aired as A Very English Scandal last year, A Very British Scandal focuses on a different story–it centres around Margaret Campbell, the Duchess of Argyll and British socialite (played by Claire Foy) who was embroiled in a sex scandal during the 1960s. Foy made a mark in The Crown where she played young Queen Elizabeth in the first two seasons and received critical appreciation for her great performance. Watching her play a the Duchess of Argyll is a stark contrast but we’re keen to see how she pulls it off.

10. The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On
After Love Is Blind, Nick and Vanessa Lachey have come back as hosts of another dating reality tv show. If you think the plot of LIB is bizarre, wait till you read about the plot of The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On. Six people issue an ultimatum to their existing partners. They either get married or split up for good. To make their final decision, these couples break up and start dating the single participants on the show. The singles join this dating spree (reluctantly, of course) to first see whether there is any chance of a future or not with anyone. And after one week of dating, they choose their “trial spouse” (gosh, these terms are making me cringe already) for three weeks. After living with that new partner, the couples switched back to their original partners, giving them the chance at a trial marriage. At the end of it all, the OG pairs had to either get engaged or say goodbye. What even? But guess who’ll still watch this show? Me.
