OMEGA X’s versatile vocalist, XEN, is back with another heart-tugging beat showcasing his impressive vocal abilities with the release of his latest OST for the variety show Love Interference. This ballad is titled 어디쯤 가고 있나요 (Did you arrive), which reflects on the complex emotions surrounding a breakup and the lingering thoughts of an ex-lover.

When the K-pop star sat with ELLE talking about the song, he shared, “I was glad to be able to share a wide variety of music through this OST with our fans and the general audience.” This marks XEN’s second OST participation this year, following his teammate JAEHAN’s release of 그대여 안녕 (Goodbye My Love) on August 15 for the same show. Last year, he also lent his voice to Come In Closer for the love variety series Dolsingles Season 4.

While discussing his current binge-watch, XEN revealed a fondness for the 2014 drama Misaeng, which he finds empowering. “I still watch it sometimes,” he said, highlighting the impact of its messages. XEN also shared insights into the creative process of recording an OST. He noted that while expressing the vibe of his own tracks is often easier, working on such songs allows for constructive feedback from songwriters who direct the sessions. “I personally find that very helpful for my discography,” he explained.

Among his favourite OSTs from other artists, XEN cited Love as snowfrolic by XIA (Kim Junsu) from the 2012 drama The Innocent Man, underscoring the emotional connection he feels with powerful music.

Reflecting on his own music, XEN mentioned that he believes BINARY STAR would make a great OST for a youth drama, possibly set in a school, showcasing his vision for how OMEGA X’s songs can translate into visual storytelling.

Looking ahead, he is excited about continuing to share music and performances with OMEGA X’s fanbase, known as FOR X. “Please look forward to our upcoming activities!” he encouraged with a laugh.

Finally, he shared one of his most memorable experiences as a performer: the encore concert held in Korea in May 2024. “All members gave their all to make sure we presented great performances without any regret,” he said proudly, reflecting on the deep connection between the group and their fans.

As the star continues to make strides in his musical career, fans can look forward to more heartfelt tracks and performances that resonate with their own experiences and emotions.
