Expand your horizons beyond standard ruby red lipsticks. Find inspiration in Chanel’s fuchsia lips, the chalky coral ones at Courrèges and the pastel mouths at Laroche. To get this look, layer multiple coats of lipstick and don’t forget to dust blotting powder in between.

Update your second-day hairstyle with the season’s statement accessories. Try Versace’s monogram hair clips, Prada’s chunky headband or SVA’s printed turban for a day at the beach. Spray your barrette with hairspray to improve its grip in your hair.

The S/S ’19 runway served up several ideas to rejig our messy summer buns. Our favourites include: the twisted chignon at Naeem Khan, Emporio Armani’s braid-and-bun combo and Fendi’s top knot with face-framing baby hair.

WEAR IT WET
Poolside hair is a standard for summer, but it’s quite tricky IRL. This season it gets a little easier, as hairstylists embrace a dual wet and dry texture. Take your lead from Chloé and Marni, where models had voluminous lacquered roots and dry lengths. Load up on gel, shine spray and serum to keep it glossy, not greasy.
