I’ll admit–while I love to watch classic and new Christmas movies every December, it does get a tad bit boring when there’s an overdose of it. Fortunately, it seems like streaming platforms have got the memo. You’ll not only find the typical holiday season content but also a good mix of all things drama, crime, action and thriller. And we’re here for it. After we gave you a list of new shows and films to watch in the first half of the month, we now present all the new releases on our roster till the year end. So grab a hot cuppa, snuggle up and get binging!
1. Emily In Paris Season 3
Emily is here to say “bonjour” once again! We’re excited to watch another season of how the American girl lives her topsy-turvy life in Paris. Last season, Emily was all over the place and nothing in her life went as planned–whether it was her high-maintainance job at Savoir, balancing friendships, or getting caught in a love triangle between Gabriel and Alfie. The season ended with Emily contemplating leaving Paris and moving back to Chicago. The trailer of Season 3 suggests otherwise. We see Emily struggling to balance her professional and personal life once again. She’s on double duty as she decides to work with her Parisian boss Sylvy’s new company as well as her OG boss, Madeline Wheeler who has now taken over Savoir. And yes, Alfie and Gabriel are still part of her life. However, it looks like she’s more romantically involved with Alfie and is in the “just friends” zone with Gabriel. But I’m biased and always been on Team Emily and Gabriel. So let’s see if the two end up together or not!

2. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Renowned detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is here to solve yet another murder mystery. When tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his friends over to his private Greek island, someone ends up dead. And Benoit is invited to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

4. Govinda Naam Mera
Starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani as the leads, the film follows the story of “the happy-go-lucky Govinda Waghmare, who finds himself caught between his bullying wife, an unhappy mother and a girlfriend who wants to marry him. It’s all fun and games until he discovers that he may end up losing his inheritance, the ancestral bungalow in which he lives. The film’s journey becomes a series of thrilling events from here. Each character in the movie has a dark side, and nothing is as it seems.”

5. Strange World
Love watching animated films and on the hunt for a new one this holiday season? You’re in luck. Get ready to watch Strange World with a voiceover cast that includes notable names like Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union and Lucy Liu. The film “introduces a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob called Splat; Legend, the family dog; and a slew of ravenous creatures.”

6. Jack Ryan Season 3
Fans of The Office find it hard to look at John Krasinski play any other role besides Jim. But his performance in the crime-action series where he plays the titular character of Jack Ryan impressed many. After two seasons, Jack Ryan returns for the third and this time, he is wrongly implicated in a large conspiracy that he’s been investigating. Now seen as a fugitive, he is wanted by the CIA as well as an international rogue faction that he has uncovered. Jack has no option but stay underground while moving across Europe, trying to stay alive and prevent a global conflict.

7. Beauty and The Beast: A 30th Celebration
In honour of the 30th anniversary of the animated classic, this animated and live-action blended special showcases the fan-favourite movie, along with new musical performances, sets and costumes inspired by the classic story.

8. Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical
Roald Dahl’s iconic story turns into a film adaptation of the novel that’s also an adaptation of the musical. The film follows the story of young Matilda Wormwood (Alisha Weir), an extraordinary girl armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, dares to take a stand against her oppressive parents and head teacher Miss Trunchbull–played by Emma Thompson, whose character is very similar looking to that of Nanny McPhee–to change her story with miraculous results.

9. The Recruit
Often seen in teenage rom-coms, Noah Centineo opts for a different genre with the series, The Recruit. The official plot synopsis reads, “A fledgling lawyer at the CIA becomes enmeshed in dangerous international power politics when a former asset threatens to expose the nature of her long-term relationship with the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime.”

10. Treason
You’ve watched Charlie Cox play a superhero as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. And now you’ll see him play a different role in Netflix’s Treason. The plot? An MI6 deputy’s bright future takes a sharp turn after a reunion with a Russian spy forces him to question his entire life.

11. White Noise
Adam Drivers plays Jack Gladney, a college professor who leads an ordinary life with his family. 12. The Witcher: Blood Origin
A lot of adventure/fantasy dramas turn towards prequels after having a successful run of the original series. Case in point: House of the Dragon (prequel to Game of Thrones) and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (prequel to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings). Now, even The Witcher series gets a prequel titled The Witcher: Blood Origin. Set more than a thousand years before the world of “The Witcher,” seven outcasts in the elf world unite in a quest against an unstoppable power.
