The Marvel cinematic universe has had a significant cultural impact on multiple generations and will continue to do so because of its stellar cast and connection with the audiences. While the hardcore fans are still divided about Marvel’s future after phase 4, movies like Deadpool coming in offer the much-needed release and is that one thing everyone just unanimously agrees on. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with Ryan Reynolds. Add to that Hugh Jackman, and we’re sold!
While all the Marvel characters have their unique set of charms and powers, we’re sure you’ve drawn parallels between yourself and your favourite character. You’ve done that at least once, accept it. Now whether you’re torn between two of them or simply curious, keep reading for our zodiac-based breakdown of which Marvel character goes with your personality, based on your star sign.
Aries (March 21-April 19): Deadpool
With his mocking sense of humour, Deadpool’s antihero arc finds solace in the traits of the ram. He’s that goofy friend who can make you laugh so hard you’ll cry if you’ve had a few beers and are in the right mood. He’s also secretly everyone’s favourite from the Marvel franchise.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Vision
He is reserved yet considerate. Analytical and courteous. Initially branded as an ‘emotionless’ character, the audience is greeted with Vision’s maturity and depth a little later. He’s also a homebody and the Taurean in me relates to him so much.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): Loki
Supremely charismatic and crafty, Loki’s diabolical nature and penchant for betrayal go for a toss as he later demonstrates his goodness of heart. Indecisive Geminis will relate.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): Spiderman
He’s awesome, that’s it. I love Cancerians, my mum’s one too and they’re really empathetic human beings–just like Peter Parker. Emotional intelligence at its peak.
Leo (July 23-August 22): Iron Man
In addition to his quick wit, he possesses the desire to stop at nothing to save others. He is a gifted genius with the power to alter the course of events, and an ability to lead others far stronger than himself. A true Leo indeed.
Virgo (August 23-September 22): Shang Chi
Shang-Chi is very composed and self-assured – quite zen, to be honest. Akin to the characteristics of this earth sign, he places a lot of weightage on simplicity in living, discipline and humility.
Libra (September 23-October 22): Captain America
He is idealistic, chivalrous, and honourable. His tumultuous past doesn’t put a damper on his moral convictions and it’s this balance we’re talking about. Librans will relate. Justice will be served.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Scarlet Witch
Manipulation and chaos–the classic hallmarks of this character. But again, it’s far more layered than that and the real fans know. Scarlet Witch, in my opinion, is one of the most finely crafted characters in the whole Marvel universe and boasts unparalleled power.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Thor
Thor was frequently described as being uncivilised and stupid, frequently lunging into battle without any preparation. It’s his innate drive to improve, and be sensitive to the needs of others and there’s nothing more human than that. Obvious attributes of the Sagi sign.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Black Panther
T’Challa is undoubtedly a Capricorn, and since this sign is renowned for dependability and practicality, it makes sense that T’Challa is a leader who many look up to. Earth signs unite!
Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Doctor Strange
Inquisitive, mystical and spooky, Doctor Strange is surely an Aquarian. Enamoured by otherworldly influences, his arrogance is challenged when things go south. Despite all the curveballs, his intelligence comes in handy in the whole quantum field set-up where he exhibits his judgement.
Pisces (February 19-March 20): Hulk
Listen to me, Hulk is a softie deep down, under all that macho exterior. These water babies are known to put on a brave face and fight but are really sensitive. Hulk seems like the guy who’d probably shed a tear or two if I accidentally end up misplacing his favourite mug. And that’s really cute.
