ELLE Exclusive: I Tried Kylie Cosmetics’ Newly Launched Makeup Range

My beauty journey began with Kylie Cosmetics, and I vividly remember the day I got my first Lip Kit, which my aunt brought for me from overseas—it was one of my favourite purchases ever. Fast forward to today, and the fact that Kylie Cosmetics is officially available in India feels unreal. Naturally, as soon as I heard about their latest launches, I had to get my hands on them. Now here I am, armed with three of their exciting new products—the Tinted Butter Balm, Lip Oils and Mauve Pressed Powder Palette—and I’m ready to spill all the deets!

Kylie Cosmetics Tinted Butter Balm

A tinted balm that promises hydration and colour payoff? Sign me up! I’m all for low-maintenance beauty products that still make me feel pretty, so I had to put this baby to the test. The first thing I noticed was that the formula is buttery soft—like, and ridiculously smooth. It glides on like a dream! With ingredients like jojoba oil, it’s not just a pop of colour but full-on hydration for your lips. I tried the shade She’s Lovely, a soft nude that’s perfect for daily wear and Moving On, a pretty red that gives you that just-bitten look. My lips felt instantly smoother, and any dry patches I had were GONE. And the colour payoff for a balm, it’s pretty impressive. I wasn’t expecting full-on lipstick vibes, but it adds a lovely, pigmented tint with a shiny finish that isn’t sticky or heavy. It’s the perfect mix of makeup and lip care, which is exactly what I want on busy days when I can’t be bothered with multiple products.

Verdict: This might just be my new purse essential. It’s clean, vegan, cruelty-free, and gives that soft, natural glow while hydrating the heck out of my lips.

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Oils

I’m a sucker for a good lip oil, so when Kylie’s lip oils dropped, I was pumped. There’s something about a non-sticky, ultra-shiny lip product that just screams “glam,” and these oils definitely deliver.

The flavours had me reminiscing about summer vacations and sipping fruity drinks by the pool. I went for Passion Fruit, because, well, boujee like that, and it was everything I hoped it would be. The oil smells delicious, but don’t worry—it’s not overwhelming. Some lip oils are just too greasy or heavy, but Kylie’s formula is light and super comfortable. It’s one of those products that you forget you’re wearing, which is a huge win in my book. It glides on effortlessly with the big doe-foot applicator (major points for the applicator, by the way) and leaves behind a glossy finish. Its price is a little steep for a lip oil, but the luxe formula and the fact that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and clean makes me feel better about splurging.

Verdict: These are a must-have if you’re into that juicy look for your lips. I’m definitely going to keep one of these in my makeup bag for quick touch-ups, especially during the dry winter months.

Kylie Cosmetics Mauve Pressed Powder Palette

I’m always a little cautious when it comes to neutral palettes because I have about a million, but this one stood out because of the gorgeous mix of mauve, rosy, and neutral tones. This palette has ten shades, with seven matte and three metallics. Plus, the palette is talc-free, which is always a good thing in my book. What I liked most about this palette is how it transitions seamlessly from day to night. It’s compact, travel-friendly, and perfect for those of us who don’t have time to pack five different palettes.

Verdict: This palette is great for creating those soft, sultry looks with minimal effort.

The Tinted Butter Balm is definitely going into my lippie rotation! These new launches are a great addition to your makeup bag, especially if you’re looking to try something new this festive season.
