Here are some of the most fashionable and noteworthy moments from the edition.
STAR STRUCK
Ralph Lauren
Staying true to his American heritage, Ralph Lauren—the king of timeless fashion—offered some of the most Instagram-able moments at the New York Fashion Week.
Ralph Lauren
The collection was a harmonious collage of prints and luxurious fabrics, all as a nod to the brand’s glorious past and a modern future. The front row saw celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, Kanye West, among others, in attendance to celebrate the designer’s 50 glorious years in fashion.
SAIL AWAY
Alice + Olivia
Unlike its contemporaries, NYFW is where all the action takes place.
Alice + Olivia
From unique collaborations to noteworthy innovations and crazy venues (like Rodarte’s show at a cemetery and Ralph Lauren’s Central Park extravaganza), fashion is never dull in this city.
Alice + Olivia
For SS ’19 Alice Bendet of Alice + Olivia, in association with travel portal booking.com, took the concept of fashion collaborations to the next level.

The collection, inspired by her favourite destinations across the globe, saw whimsical prints, flowy silhouettes and bright colours on the runway.
HOMECOMING
Proenza Schouler
Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler returned to NYFW after showcasing at Paris for the last few seasons. So, that touch of Parisian glamour was quite visible.

The standout piece: the over sized denim bag that has already taken over street style.
ECLECTIC MIX
Prabal Gurung
Nepalese designer Prabal Gurung has always championed the cause of diversity and inclusivity in fashion. For his SS ’19 show, he went back to his roots and offered an athletic collection in bright hues with strategic cutouts.
