After Hollywood’s biggest night, Jenna Dewan Tatum made the eye-catching choice to go the Vanity Fair Oscar party with her close friend Emmanuelle Chriqui instead of her husband Channing Tatum. This decision was made to the delight of everyone involved, Jenna told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet.
Channing stayed at home to babysit the couple’s four-year-old daughter Everly. “He is so happy to have a night off, yes,” Tatum said when asked if Chan was on daddy duty.
“I took his place tonight,” Emmanuelle Chriqui quipped.
The two longtime friends, who met through Justin Timberlake, prepped at Emmanuelle’s place. “We just had the most fun, get-ready glam session,” Jenna said. “We took over her house and had like 20 people in there. It takes 20 people for all this.”

Jenna wore a sleek Pamella Roland gown, featuring one of the highest leg slits of the night, with Casadei shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. She posed with Emmanuelle on the party red carpet and inside, hung with her, Sofia Vergara, and Sarah Hyland.
Channing, meanwhile, had a quiet night off social media.
